Rubí Train Depot Exhibition Space

The Exhibition Space of the Rubí Train Depot is a space located in the Rubí Operative Center, which shows the historical and cultural heritage of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC). The space is dedicated to the graphic exhibition of the 100 years of the arrival of the electric train in Vallès and has a collection of historical railway vehicles.

The graphic exhibition presents a chronology of the history of the railway in Vallès, from its beginnings at the beginning of the 20th century to the present. The exhibition includes photographs, documents, models that allow visitors to learn about the development of this important infrastructure for the region.

The collection of historic railway vehicles includes two wooden wagons from the early 20th century, which participated in the construction of the Vallvidrera tunnel; a tank car; a 1913 van; two automobiles from the 60s; and two cranes from the beginning of the 20th century. These vehicles are displayed on two 90-meter-long tracks, which were previously used as a railway material workshop.
