What should I do if I have been charged a minimum penalty that I disagree with?

If you disagree with the minimum fare, you can file an objection by providing the following information:

  • The minimum fare number (PM) found on the ticket you received.
  • Scanned documentation or documents in PDF or JPG format including:
    • Your ID/NIE (both sides) or passport.
    • A signed letter stating your request.
    • The ticket you received.
    • A copy of the ticket you used, if available.
    • Any other documents you consider necessary to resolve the case.

You have several channels to file an objection to the minimum fare:

  • Through the form on the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) website: Centros de atención al cliente – FGC
  • Using the objection books for minimum fares available at any FGC station.
  • At the Customer Assistance Centers located at Pl. Catalunya and Pl. Espanya stations for FGC lines. You can check the opening hours, location, and request an appointment at https://www.fgc.cat/atencio-al-client/centres-presencials/
  • 4. By sending a signed letter to the following address:

For complaints related to reckless actions, misuse of elements, access or facilities, and uncivil behavior or disturbances to third parties, to file objections, you must contact the Territorial Transport Service of Barcelona of the Generalitat de Catalunya, located at Carrer Aragó, number 244, Barcelona, where administrative sanctioning procedures are processed and resolved. You can contact them electronically through the “Petición Genérica” (Generic Request) procedure on the website www.gencat.cat.
